I'm not sure where I first read this, but news.google provided the answers when I looked. According to the GSM people there are now over one billion GSM users. That my friends is a freaking lot. Almost one in every six people has a GSM phone, (well some will have more). I'm impressed that 1/6 of the global population have cell phones, let alone with one service. And it looks like America is finally getting in on GSM as well, which is nice.
Anywho, this review of Star Wars Battlefront tells me that it is being made by the same people who made one of my favourite games Battlezone.
...was cagey about the game's vehicle list, but confirmed the inclusion of the AT-AT, X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Republic Gunship, snowspeeder, and Imperial Shuttle...
This is excellent news.
Unexcellent news is that m-w.com appears to have jumped the shark. OK, so not really, but rather has jumped on board the bling bling train, and now wants something like (either) USD9.95 or USD29.95 annually for access to its dictionary...
Well, hmmm. It did earlier when Nic and I were looking up a word, but I just tried it then and it worked fine. Anyone else notice this?
Comment like you got a pair.

I have been using it a few times in the last week or so and it has never demanded money. Perhaps you and Nic have that noveau riche air about your web use.
Posted by: Cardinal on March 1, 2004 08:30 PMHmmm, that seems likely, what with our searches for carat, penthouse, yatch, rolex etc. Hope Google doesn't get in on this or my searches for "cunning ways to hide and or launder money in off shore accounts" will have me well screwed.
Plus side would be piles of cash though.

I think it only brings that message up when the word is only in its unabridged dictionary. However most words are in its normal dictionary. Then again that is just a guess
