Hic Sunt Dracones

I have a list of reasons why America sucks. Well, I don’t really _have_ a list, so much as occassionaly add things to the list, and try to remember what else is on the list. A typical “one day I should write this down, then it will be much simpler” kind of thing, of which I have a fair number.

Like now for example, I can only remember two things on the list. One was Oprah Winfery (not that she as a person sucks, just that her show is horrible and depressing. Although given how Dr Phil didn’t really exist when I made this initial entry to the list, I suspect he’d take precedence at sucking at this time)..ok The second thing was The Warren Comission, or more speciffically, the “Magic Bullet Theory” I mean COME ON!

But what’s my point? Well I found me a mention of 10000reasons.org (Civilization is Doomed) and I thought, AHA! So I went off to add Oprah. And found her there already, #66. (Oh, and looking for Dr Phil, he is 6th, so yeah OK.) (Comic Sans is in at #56) and the most recent one I can see is also excellent; Reason #1458: Messin’ with Sasquach.

So, there you have it. For this particular value of “it.”

Congratulations to the dual doctors on the birth of their daughter :)

I am informed somewhat reliably that she (His mum didn’t ask her name, because she said when she had her kids people always wanted their names and she got tired of it) weighed in at 3.8Kg (or for you old skoolers about 8 pounds 3 ounces I think)

In the three hours since her birth, her father has had time to declare that she is “Happy healthy and well behaved.” Which is pretty nice.

All information ninja’d from the family. And should be considered somewhat doubtful till someone gives us the official word :)
